For those who may not yet know, our very own Eliza has entered the role of Instructional Coach in the equity department, representing and supporting 2S & LGBTQIA+ staff. Please make sure to congratulate her when you see her! Also, please make sure to reach out to her for support of 2S & LGBTQIA+ staff and students at your own schools using the equity request form.

Let's start checking in again. 

Starting this month, we will be adding a quick-check-in meeting to our virtual game nights. Chat with colleagues, share the good news, be here for each other when we need to be. And these virtual meetings are not your regular school meetings - you can bring your virtual dinner and drink of choice online! Please try to take a few minutes next week to join us, even if you can only pop in and say hello!

All Are Welcome Next Thursday!

Please feel free to invite your partners and families and friends - allies included - to share the space with us next week.

Last week, we sent out an email updating members on some new information that came from the Town Hall meeting. Thank you to those who took the time to provide their insights on this. We are taking all opinions into account and will ultimately make any decisions in support of the membership.

In happy news, congratulations to Eliza Hynes who has taken the position of Equity Resource Teacher supporting Two Spirit & LGBTQIA+ Identities! As a long-time advocate and wearer of multiple hats doing the valuable work she does in Peel, we are thrilled to see her take on this role! Attached is a flyer for Key Change, an evening with Christina Vegas. This evening will follow Christina on a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance; a story told with song and script. This will take place at the Maja Prentice Theatre in Mississauga. Link to get tickets here and on the flyer.
